Samaya Specialized Center is the product of the ambition of a group of practicing doctors and surgeons to offer exceptional and high-standard healthcare through centers specialized in various medical services. Samaya Specialized Center for Eye Care Specialties in Al Bateen Area, Abu Dhabi, UAE, is the first project. On January 1, 2021, Samaya launched a second branch in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Our long-term goal is to create an indistinguishable, highly specialized facility for dermatological and ENT services.

Samaya Specialized Center for Eye Care is a modern facility with advanced eye care equipment that can handle all types of eye disorders (cornea, cataract, glaucoma, retina, children's eye care, squint, refractive error correction with glasses and surgery, etc.). Our facility introduced laser-assisted cataract surgery (Lens X Laser Machine) for the first time in the Middle East in 2012 and has been doing all sorts of refractive procedures since 2008, including PRK, Lasek, Epilasek FemtoLASIK, Contoura PRK, and Contoura Lasik.

Along with cataract surgery, we also provide the most recent multifocal implantable lens designs and premium implantable phakik intraocular lenses, which improve visual clarity and eliminate the need for spectacles for our patients. Dr. Ameen Saleh Ali Al-Saleem, the founder of Samaya Specialized Center, is a pioneer in this field because of his extensive knowledge of the Gulf region and his ability to successfully implant the most diverse variety of multifocal lenses. He was also among the first to introduce in the Emirates the C3R procedure in Samaya in 2008, which is nowadays a well-known treatment option for Keratoconus and has been adapted in other eye centers, government hospitals such as Sheikh Khalifa Medical Center, Zayed Military Hospital, and other medical facilities.

Our esteemed eye experts have extensive expertise in their respective fields and international qualifications from the UK, Canada/USA, and Europe. While serving as the Medical Director and Head of the Ophthalmology Department of Mafraq Hospital for many years, Dr. Yahya Al Midwahi, the co-founder of Samaya Specialized Center, was the first ophthalmologist in the United Arab Emirates to introduce a few new ophthalmic treatment methods and surgical techniques (LASIK, keratoplasty, YAG laser, retinal laser, etc.). Many young ophthalmologists who worked under his direction gained not only an understanding of the practice of ophthalmology but also a deep regard for and compassion for those who needed assistance.
