The Red Crescent Authority of the United Arab Emirates, which had been founded on January 31st, 1983, received recognition on a global scale by becoming the International Federation of Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was appointed head of the Red Crescent Board of Directors.
In order to fulfill the Red Crescent's mission to mobilize the power of humanity to aid the weak and the needy wherever they are, regardless of any ethnic, cultural, geographical, or religious considerations, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority was a pioneer in promoting various aspects of humanitarian work at the local and international levels.
Samaya Specialized Center participated as one of the volunteers and provided a clinic in the event. This includes free eye consultation for our fellow citizen. Taking part of this charity event is a pleasure, to serve with a purpose is one of our objectives.
